Gossip Girl Fashion: The Queen Bee Headband

So there’s been a lot of questions regarding the whole Queen Bee headband that Blair Waldorf crowned upon Jenny Humphrey in the “The Goodbye of Gossip Girl” episode - the finale of season 2.

Here’s a recap of the scene where Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) crowns Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen):

Anyways, the much sought after Queen B headband is by Jennifer Behr, a padded headband done by hand AND covered with Swarovski crystals that are stitched on one-by-one (with cotton thread Behr waxes herself!).

This Queen B headband retails at $725 and can be purchased from jenniferbehr.com

Trendspotting Thursday: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has had a great year in 2008, being the biggest selling artist of 2008 in America with combined sales of more than four million albums, for her self-title album as well as her album Fearless, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

2009 has brought in bigger and better things for her, recently winning Album Of The Year, at the Academy if Country Music (ACM) Awards as well as the ACM’s Crystal Milestone Awards to recognize that she’s sold more albums than any other artist this year and has helped country music attract a younger audience. Not only did she win the top honors during the ACM awards, she wins top honors for her style and fashion sense as well.

This 19-year old has become fast recognized as being in the Top Best Dressed lists across the web as well as fashion magazines.

On her most recent trip to the red carpet, at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music awards, Taylor Swift wowed everyone in this beautiful one shoulder red Angel Sanchez gown with Neil Lane jewelry and VBH clutch. She was breathtakingly flawless.

Taking a look back to more recent times this year, Taylor Swift has wowed us with her choice of style and always comes out looking ever graceful and classy and very age-appropriate. Something that her friend, Miley Cyrus can learn a thing or two from.

I think Taylor Swift has managed to and will continue to bedazzle us with her talent, star quality, country charm and impeccable style… She definitely deserves to be where she is right now and more than deserves to be on my Trendspotting Thursday spot!

Dakota Fanning at L.A. “Push” premiere

dakota2.jpg

Dakota Fanning was looking stunning at the Push movie premiere at the Mann Village Theater in Westwood, Los Angeles recently. The talented young actress who we first saw in “I Am Sam” has grown up to be a beautiful 14-year-old and very well put together. In “Push” she stars with Fantastic Four star, Chris Evans, the gorgeous Camilla Belle as well as Djimon Honsou.

Since becoming a major movie star at such a tender age, Dakota Fanning has already been a face for high fashion when designer Marc Jacobs personally handpicked her to represent his line. She was decked out in couture from Marc Jacobs’ collection that was specially made for her size.

For her action packed movie premiere of Push, her grey/silver origami inspired dress was a perfect choice - elegant, young, fun and fresh! She totally rocked it!

So for young teenage girls out there, take a style cue from Dakota Fanning. You don’t have to dress sexily or much too old for your age to look stunning. Savor your tween years and don’t try to grow up too fast.. ;)

Love,
S.
