The Guide to Bra Sizes

A study done has shown that 85% of women are wearing the WRONG bra size. That is NOT good. We need to remind ourselves that our body is no one elses but our own. So why would we want to be ignorant about ourselves. Our ladies deserve to be taken care of in the best manner possible, getting regular breast ultrasound check ups and also to be fitted into the right bra. We need to put our ladies in the bra with the perfect fit and the bra that most flatters her! Don’t you women agree?

Why is it important to get the right size? Well, that’s because not only does the wrong size and fit affect our posture it also affects the health of our breast tissue. Having it too loose will make our breasts sag and cause posture or back problems meanwhile bras that are too tight might cause bruising, discomfort or even blocked milk ducts.

A great article on how to measure your bra size can be found here.

So I hope you ladies go and get yourself measured and remember! Your bra size has the possibility to change up to 6 times in your lifetime (due to weight loss, weight gain, pregnancy, menopause, etc) so just because you’ve measured once, that you’ve got it pat down.

Anyways, here’s a little something about the guide to bra sizes that I thought would be funny to share with you.

Get Fit and Look Fab!!

I have been having some health problems lately.. nothing very serious, mind you. Something I am very grateful for and definitely thanking my lucky stars. So anyways, this slight bump in my health sees me having to trade in my heels for comfy supported sneakers - for the time being.

It wasn’t due to my heels to begin with. It’s just that because of the condition I have, my leg can get pretty painful and at times swollen up so bad that I can’t walk. So sneakers it is.

But that doesn’t mean that’s holding me back from rockin’ out my style! After all, there are some eye candy sneakers that are pretty and affordable too! ;) Also, for those who want to style up your look at the gym, you might wanna check these out!

Charmed!

Published by shemah under Celebrity Fashion Edit This

I must say, I just absolutely love fashion jewelry. My sister and I used to have loads of fashion jewelry but we left them at home when we both left for college. When we came home, they were all gone. I guess some people decided we didn’t want them anymore. *sigh*

Anyways, I must say, one piece that I can’t ever get bored with, are charmed bracelets. To me, they’re just timeless.. I just adore them! The charm bracelets from Juicy Couture are a dream!!

While the Kidada for Disney Couture Leather Wraps are the rage amongst the younger celebrities like Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan. I guess most girls would like to be reminded of the princesses within themselves.. although now, they just term it, DIVA.

Fashion for the Expecting Moms

There’s one thing that really stressed me out when I was pregnant for both my children. No, it wasn’t the fact that I’d get leg cramps when I’m sleeping, or the fact that my stomach is growing faster than my baby or even the fact that I sweat even in the coldest of rooms. (Luckily for me I had no morning sickness).

One thing that bothered me was, the town where I’m from, just have the most hideous maternity clothes an expectant mom has ever laid their eyes on. Hellooo.. we’re carrying the babies, we’re NOT one. So get rid of the silly frills, and bows and teddy bears on those hideous looking blouses.

Some of us moms (like me) aren’t one of those attractive pregnant women, who only grows around the belly okay and looks like there’s a glow worm living permanently inside of them. No! I’m the huge round mom, that looks like the life has been sucked out of her so I don’t need anything else to make me look more unattractive!

So anyways, I found a couple of really nice maternity clothes, for the expectant mums. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or a working mom, these picks are just perfect for you!

Hope you see something you like!

S.

My Favorite Academy Awards Red Carpet Looks

Published by shemah under Celebrity Fashion Edit This

The 81st Annual Academy Awards Red Carpet was full of bedazzling gowns and gorgeous women. I have to say that for this year, there weren’t really that many looks that made me cringe.. There were a whole lot of strapless gowns and really light colors. Ivory, nude, whites and “barely mint” with the latter coming from Sarah Jessica Parker. Assymetrical gowns were also quite popular.

Overall, the women did pretty good I have to say. Although there were a couple of looks that I didn’t quite fancy - like Heidi Klum in Roland Mouret, Vanessa Hudgens in Marchesa and Amanda Seyfried in Valentino. But they weren’t like over the top horrible, either.

I loved Miley Cyrus’s dress by Zuhair Murad which was really gorgeous.. but not on her. It was too… sophisticated for a 16 year old, for me.

The two women who really stood out in black, I feel was the stunning Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab and Diane Lane in Dolce & Gabbana. Black can be a little boring and safe at times, but these ladies just pulled it off looking classic and just sensational. Just look at Angelina’s jade earrings by Lorraine Schwartz! They just pop out! Absolutely gorgeous!

Then there was the exceptional Penelope Cruz who looked like a beautiful couture princess in vintage Pierre Balmain. Oooohhhh.. that was definitely her night to shine.

My favorites of the night was the beautiful and regal Natalie Portman in her Rodarte bubble gum pink dress and Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive.

Hey, and last but not least, the adorable children from Slumdog Millionaire!! They were utterly adorable!! :) :)

Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did!
